Ukulunywa yinja
Uma umuntu elunywe yinja yakwamakhelwane, ubeyakhona kulowomuzi bese bethatha uphuthu belininda esilondeni lapho elunywe khona yinja. Kuthe ngemuva kwesikhashana bese lolophuthu beluphonsela inja ukuze iludle. Uma ibaleka ingafuni ukudla bebeyibamba ngenkani beyifake lona emlonyeni, bese bewuvala umlomo ukuze baqinisekise ukuthi iyaludla futhi iyalugwinya loluphuthu. Babenzela ukuthi lowomuntu angajwayelwa ukulunywa yilenja yasekhaya. Bese beyibamba inja bethatha amathe ayo ukugcoba isilonda salowo olunywe yinja ukwenzela ukuthi isilonda sisheshe siphole.
Inja edla amaqanda
Uma inja ijwayele ukudla amaqanda ezinkukhu uma ibekelela noma izalela, bebeyibhekisisa ukuthi iyona yiphi eyenza lowomkhuba. Uma sebebonile bebethatha iqanda balibilise, bese bezibiza zonke izinja, kubanjwe leyo edla amaqanda ezinkukhu, bayivule umlomo bayifake leliqanda elishisayo. Lokhu kwakwenzelwa ukuthi ilisabe njalo iqanda, lokhu kwakuyisifundo nakwezinye izinja zingasaphindi zisondele ngasemaqadeni ezinkukhu.
Ukulimazana kwezinkomo
Uma izinkunzi zomakhelwane zilwa edlelweni zingasafuni ukuyekana sekukhona ebonakalayo ukuthi iphelelwa amandla, mhlawumbe ayifuni ukuyeka ukulwa noma isibona ukuthi ilimele ize ife. Nokuthi uma bezilamula ilwa nalaba abazilamulayo noma abazihlukanisayo. Lowo ofelwe inkomo uyayihlinza idliwe ekhaya, kodwa kubalulekile ukuthi athathe ingxenye ayihambise kulomuzi wenkabi ebulele leyakhe. Kuthiwa ufike asishiye esangweni, abakhona bazosibona noma sitholwe ingane bese besithatha besipheka besidla kulowo muzi. Lokho kwakukhombisa ukuthi akuxatshenwe ngoba phela akekho obethume inkomo ukuthi ibulale enye, lo ofelwe ubemukela lokho okwenzekile. Kodwa uma bebonile ukuthi beziqhathwe abalusi bazo bebejeziswa abalusi labo ngoba sekukhona efile, ngoba lokhu kwakusamdlalo kubona abelusi beziqhatha ngoba bebezigqaja ngokuthi eyakithi izishaya zonke esigodini. Izinkomo zilwa uma sekuyisikhathi sokukhwelana kwezinkomo, ngoba bekusuka enye inkunzi izokhwela kwenye indawo kanti ikhona eyakulowomuzi. Uma kwenzeka ukuthi izinkunzi zimbili esibayeni esisodwa, umninizo kufanele ayithene enye enzele ukuthi zingakhonyi zonke.
English Summary
If someone was bitten by a neighbours dog, it was important that they report the matter to the dog’s owner. They will take a spoonful of cooked mielie meal and rub it on the wound then they will give the pap to the dog and force it to eat it. They believed that by doing this the victim will never have a same problem with the dog. And they also take saliva from the dog’s mouth and smear it on the wound for a speedy healing.
If a dog eats chicken eggs, the family had to boil one egg and take it while it hot and force it down the dogs throat. This was done so that the dog will stop stealing the eggs.
Bull fighting was also done to pass time but sometimes they fought for territory. If one of the bulls was severely injured that would lead to death. The cattle would be slaughtered and part of the meat will be taken to the family of the other bull. This should be left at the gate. This was done as the gesture of peace by both families.
