My grandfather was born in 1950. he was born in Swaziland from KwaNdaba area. In 1952 my grandmother was born in KwaNongoma from Kwazulu-Natal. My grandmother and grandfather were not living in the same place but when their families move to Pietermaritzburg, coincidentally their paths crossed that is where they met but actually they met at church because they were both church goers. This is where my grandfather charmed my granny and they started having a relationship until they got married and they started making a family where they had their children in marriage include my mother.
My mother raised me from home, my father was not there but now I understand why he was not there from 1995 and I was born in 1994. In 1997 our house was burned down by a very strong lightning and my grandmother there when that took place at Willow in Pietermaritzburg. We then had to move to Hammarsdale to a place called Georgedale in 1999 and my grandfather started to build a church there. A very short while when we had arrived there, my grandparents got married officially in 1988.
Their first child who is my aunt is now married and my grandfather received cattle for the lobola which he still owns. My mother’s name is Thandiwe Mnguni and my father is Mthobisi Ngcobo. My grandmother is Jabu and my grandfather is Fano Mnguni.
The family members are Sbonelo, Xolani, Nhlakanipho, grandmother, grandfather and my mother.
