My name is Nonkululeko Makhubo, I live at Georgedale and I am 18 years old. I live with my mothers parents. My grand mother’s name is Thokozile Mthembu and my grand father’s is George Makhubo. They come from Swaziland in Luyengo where Makhubo people are originally from. I was born illegitimate because my parents were not married. I have never met my father and we live with my aunt, sister’s and brothers at home.
My grandmother’s children are all dead and she is staying with grand children. Most of my cousins already have children and I am the only one who is doing matric without a child. I am very proud of myself. I would also like to make my grandmother happy so that she can be proud of having me as her grand daughter and part of her family.
My grandmother used to tell me how and when they met with my grandfather. They met during isicamathiya competition because my grandfather sang isicathamiya. My grandfather work at Rainbow here in Hammarsdale and my grandmother stays at home.
