A quick look at our Google Analytics report shows that April was a good month for the Ulwazi Programme, with an increase in visitors to the site and a greater interaction through social media channels.
Visitors increased from 14,000 for the month of February to almost 16,000 in April.
Again, the trend for Zulu-language searches and Zulu-language content continues with half of the top-ten search terms being in the local vernacular.
Our visitors came from 120 countries around the world. However, the majority are South African and from the eThekwini Municipality. Local content for local users!
One in five users access the Ulwazi Programme’s website on a mobile device. To be precise, this has increased from 20% of users in February to 22% of users in April. If anyone questions whether mobile internet is the future for South Africa, here is the proof!
