Chiefs & Kings wives at the Zulu Reed Dance

It would seem that issues with in-laws is a cross-cultural phenomenon, with people the world over doing what they must to win the favour of their mother and father-in-laws! Last month Nqobile looked at the gifts a young bride should buy for their in-laws as a means of currying favour, so that when the chips are down they stand by their daughter-in-law, instead of their son. Carrying on with the theme of marriage, and as part of our new category that examines ‘new’ Zulu traditions,  Nqobile looked at how customs have changed over the years when it comes to the relationships between Zulu co-wives.
