Durban Living Legend – Lorraine Scott

Lorraine Scott belongs to the Durban South Lions Club, has dedicated her life to giving and has spent more than 63 years helping the less fortunate. She is involved with the KZN Blind and Deaf Society and has helped to initiate funding through Lions Club International Foundation for proposed hearing and sight related clinics in Durban. She is a member of The Ridge Lions Club International.

She has received international recognition for her dedication and versatility as a community builder. For the past nine years Lorraine Scott has donated jerseys to children with disabilities. She accomplishes this with seven dedicated ladies aged 65 to 80 who are virtually knitting throughout the year. To date this has benefited over 3000 children.

She appealed to the community to help with donations of four ply or double knitting wool, which is desperately needed. If you can help, contact Lorraine on 082 968 5085
