Niall McNulty, one of the original founders of the Ulwazi Programme, has recently co-published a paper that aims to provide the tools necessary for running a digital memory project. Sponsored by the Goethe Institut South Africa, the Digital Memory Toolkit explains how institutions such as schools and libraries can help to preserve local knowledge, while at the same time empowering community members through skills training and engagement.
