Brief Overview

This article gives prominence to a spoken-word performance of Ms. Thembalethu Ntuli, a Durban-based poet who invokes a sense of pride in one’s heritage. In the audio file, Ms. Ntuli mostly recites her poem in English and thus the article has translated the overview of the poem in IsiZulu in order to relate the performance better to the Ulwazi Programme audience, which the author feels would greatly appreciate the message of the poem. The performance was recorded on August 28, 2018.
