Durban Living Legend – Graeme Pollock

Durban born Graeme Pollock is widely regarded as South Africa’s greatest cricketer and one of the finest batsmen to have played test cricket. He made his professional test debut at age 19 on the 1963-64 tour of Australia and still holds the record for the youngest South African to score a test century. His legacy inspired his brother Peter, and nephew Shaun Pollock. He often visited and played with Shaun on his regular trips to Durban. He has won numerous awards and accolades, among them being voted as South Africa’s Cricketer of the 20th Century in 1999, as well as being selected in 2007 as the Wisden Leading Cricketer in the World in 1967 and 1969.
