It’s been all over social media for the past few weeks, so most people have likely already read about it, but we’re so proud of our little city that we thought we’d add our voice to the masses, and say “Well done Durbs!”. South Africa is a wonderful tourist destination, with our myriad of cultures and subtropical climate, but sadly Durban is often overlooked in lieu of Cape Town when it comes to holiday makers, or Johannesburg when it comes to business travellers. But according to the New York Times, Durban is one of the cities that you should be heading to in 2015! Citing Rivertown, a recent focus of urban regeneration, our wonderful newly renovated beach promenade, and the infamous bunny chow as some of the reasons to pay us a visit, Durban came in at number seven of the 52 places that the NYT suggests as tourist destinations for this year! Go Durbs!  At Ulwazi we already know what a wonderful place eThekwini is to live in, but it’s great that everyone else knows it too!
