Durban Living Legend – Anant Singh
Illustrious film producer Anant Singh was born in Durban in 1956. He produced many of the greatest anti-apartheid films, like Place of Weeping; Sarafina! and Cry, the Beloved Country. He acquired film rights to Cry the Beloved Country in 1991 but delayed production until South Africa obtained democracy.
