Dr Angelo Lambiris
Dr Angelo John Leonis Lambiris is a Living Legend in the field of herpetology, the study of reptiles and amphibians. He has published over 180 scientific papers and two books. He has studied reptiles and amphibians for over fifty years and owns a priceless research collection comprising close on 5000 specimens of over 480 species. His career includes esteemed positions with the Natal Parks Board, Durrell Institute for Conservation and Ecology, and the (former) University of Durban-Westville. Dr Lambiris is also an expert in herpetological veterinary medicine and holds the Fredric L. Frye Lifetime Achiever’s Award in this field.
